Case Study 1. Maple House School – Thornton Heath
Major reconstruction work including interior redesign and loft conversion.
School was situated in 2 houses and side extension and was impractical because of room sizes and 2 narrow staircases.
We redesigned interior and exterior to improve layout and visual impact. Both staircases were removed and replaced with one wider staircase improving access. Several small rooms were knocked together to form larger, lighter classrooms.
A loft conversion was constructed giving a further 2 large classrooms. All of this accomplished during the 8 weeks summer break.
The exterior was completely remodeled to harmonise the buildings and a new entrance lobby created.
